Great work as usual. More than your top knotch work, I'm impressed that you got all that done in just 16 hours. You're a Beast! Hope your checkup goes well next month man.

Re: Transformed: 2001 Ford F150 Lariat

Did you find that the area where the pinstripe was removed was actually lower than the surrounding paint?

I recently removed the PS on my 2009 GMC Yukon as part of the Orange Peel removal process and found that the paint underneath the PS was lower

I would have thought that are would be thicker, since it has never been compounded or polished

    Strange phenomenon

I wonder what the effect is of putting a vinyl PS on paint that is not fully cured? Maybe this is the culprit?

I plan on re-installing the PS, so it is not a real issue for me

In this image, the left side has been worked over with M100 and the CarPro Denim on my Flex 3401

On the right side of the picture, you can see that the paint under where the pin stripe was is actually depressed

Thanks! That's why I went with the mf + M205 (Kevin Brown procedure) on this vehicle. It was both fast and effective!
And thanks about the checkup. Not having my proper voice is getting old although I've been told I could get a job working some 1-900# line or some such thing with my gravely voice the way it is, LOL.

Allen, I wouldn't say it was lower per se, but it was like a ghost image of it. Kinda hard to explain. You really, really had to look for it to see it though.

I have removed almost all of the Orange Peel using CarPro Denim

Initially, I tried FG400, but it gummed up and was very difficult to remove

Next was M105, but the cycle.time was too short as the Denim will not hold much polish at all

    M100 was just the ticket
