No, what I found is that I didn't have as long a working time as I do with the TB wool. I don't get it b/c they certainly look and feel identical. Now that I just got my new TB pads in today, I'm going to try them side by side on my next job. Perfect test.

Another amazing job Richy. I am sure the customer was extremely happy with the results.

Thanks very much. Yes he was and it was as good as he hoped it would be. He had stopped by before and had seen me working on different cars so he had a pretty good idea how it would transform. His only concern was some scratches that I made go bye-bye.

Love the Challenger, but hate black!
If I was to ever own a "black beauty" again in this lifetime it would have to be the real McCoy! LOL

Sorry I'm late to the party, but that is one stunning job, Richy!
Might I ask you a question? On the before and after pic of the hood with the fluorescent light reflection, I noticed you got a significant reduction in the "orange peel" or "hammered texture" effect and got a nice clear mirror-like reflection. Do you attribute that to the foamed wool pad you used?
I have an '08 Challenger in Black and it has that effect in a bad way, and I've polished the paint to remove surface defects and scratches, but I've never gotten that level of DOI as I've always feared removing too much factory clear. Your success in smoothing it out has me wondering whether or not to get after it and give it another go.

There is a reason that I am such a huge, huge fan of the TB black wool pads (the HD one is also very close) is the CLARITY they give to paint. You can literally see it transform before your eyes. They work best with the Flex 3401 in my experiments but will still work, albeit slower, with the Rupes. They also work with rotary too. So, yes, I honestly think if you got a 5" TB wool pad (PM me for source) that you would improve your paint to another level. Look up my instruction video on how I use the Flex/TB combo for assistance. I would LOVE to hear your feedback after doing it!
