    2006 Viper, Paint Correction, CQuartz

We had the pleasure of working on a beautiful Viper this past weekend. The car was in great shape coming in the shop but there was still a ton of work to be done.

The car was initially washed and clayed.

There were two large chips in the front hood that we will get to later

The interior was in great shape, this car has really been taken care of by its owner.

Standard cleaning procedures inside, nothing out of the ordinary for an interior. Steamed the leather, cleaned the sued, etc etc.

    Some test spots were performed

Final verdict was a white pad and Wolfgang TSR, using a yellow pad on stubborn spots, and finishing with a Black pad and CG V38.

The trunk was by far the worst spot on the car

Wheels came off to address the wheel wells, suspension, calipers etc.

Steam was used along with some general purpose cleaners as well as a heavy degreaser

As you can see there was a thick coat of road grime everywhere. Good to see a car like this actually getting driven.

Iron-X to deironize the wheels, and Chemical Guys AllClean to finish them off.

After a good cleaning, any grease and oils were removed using Eraser to prep the wheels for sealant. CG Jet seal was used.

    Wax residue from previous work.

Taillights and headlights were polished using a white pad and Wolfgang TSR

The glass was polished with CG V34 and an orange pad.

After the paint was corrected it was time for coating. Surface was prepped with eraser, and then on went CQuartz

After the coating was done this car just p[popped and even impressed us.

I decided to take this detail one step further. The customer gave his grace for me to go ahead and play with his valve covers.

And now for some eye candy photos. When we pulled the car out in the sun, it was actually challenging for me to get a decent photo of it. The paint was just screaming bright red and glowing. It looked fake in person.

Wow!!! That red does scream!!! Mind giving me some pointers on how you apply CQ Quartz on those curvy body lines? I just acquired a bottle and want to do it on my cars, but they have some curvy lines as well.

CQuartz goes on by hand. Curves shouldn't be a problem. Now polishing....that is another story.

Incredible work and photography. Keep up the great work. If you don't mind me asking, what's your process for suede? I saw the photos on your IG and was curious. Thanks
