    A goodbye to winter wash

Did a clean up today to get rid of the residues of a Wisconsin winter.

First step was to foam it with some Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II

Pressure rinse off, followed by a standard car wash with Chemical Guys Mr. Pink.

Broke out the Metro 4HP blaster to dry it with and here is the result.

Is the 4HP enough for you to dry with? Want the master blaster's 8HP but I cant justify the price.

It's enough to dry with and you don't have to worry about having enough amps at the outlet. I did order the dolly for it, which you can buy from Metro Vac directly as AG doesn't carry it.

If your lsp is in good condition and you sheet (slow water rinse) the water off prior to drying it can do a decent job. As the LSP fades, water seems to want to stick to the paint more so not as easy to herd.

There's nothing like a soapy sudsy wash in my opinion.....

I pat dry with a waffle weave in conjunction with blowing with the 4hp metro. I found it's not powerful enough to dry completely.

I bet your glad to get the gunk off. I lived in WI for the first 26 years of my life and winters suck. Although I'm in indy now and not much better here.

I actually prefer rinseless in the summer and not in the winter and if you a rinseless at least take it to a self-serve wash place to blast off what you can. The salt crud does not rinse off even with a hose easily.

It does dry completely, but it takes a while. I found it faster to use a towel to dry the panels then chase with the Metro around emblems, seams, wheels and grill.

My client was very happy with the result.
