    MONSTER C6 Corvette

Customer brought in a 2005 Corvette that makes over 850whp. Needless to say, it was in incredibly bad shape for a corvette. Im a fellow Corvette owner…and i cringed. Nonetheless I sent him home incredibly happy. He almost wouldn't leave with the car, so impressed he didn't want to ruin it.

About 38 man hours where put in on this one, I called in my assistant to help on it.

The owner took the car to a big Dyno Night at LMR here in Houston directly after picking the car up from me. I received 3 bookings this morning from people that saw the car last night and asked the owner about his car care. Great work speaks for itself.

    Here we go!

    Paint was in bad shape

The underhood and the rest of the car was in rough shape as well. The interior was actually in great shape. Other than extracting the mats and steaming the leather, there was nothing more than a thorough vacuum and wipe down needed.

    ROUGH shape, poor procharger

This was cleaned up SO well and im so sad I didn't get an after picture.

So, the first thing was to give it a walk around. This vette was just in rough shape.

Chemical Guys Bug and tar was used to foam the car. Followed by a paint cleanser and a hand wash. A medium clay was used afterwards.

Test spot was performed (This is a video)

    This was before final polish.

Some heavy scratches getting worked out

    Huge turnaround

    Before and after tip polishing

    Everything cleaned up

    Couple vettes in the shop!

    Carbon Fiber hand polished

    Some final shots

The customer absolutely loved his correction. His jaw literally dropped when he walked into the bay door. The greatest reward.

Dude, I'm digging your rolling light stand.

and of course nice work, it almost looked like it was a grey vette to start!

Beautiful and incredible work. Outstanding results. Thanks for sharing and posting the pictures. Just curious did you build that light stand or buy, pretty good idea.

    Thank you.

I built it. It cost about $450.

3 Fixtures, the board, 6 casters, unistrut, 6 bulbs, a reciptical and plug, and some metal clad.

I built in a receptacle and light switch on it so I can leave the light plugged in on a 50ft cord, and run my buffer off the receptacle that's mounted on it. The base board has ended up being my mobile cart for detailing supplies. I love light and I hate working in low light. Six 8' bulbs is BRIGHT!
