This is a "quick" paint correction for a client to prep the vehicle for sale. Its not original paint, so I assumed I wasnt in for too rough of a ride other than the HUMONGOUS panels on this thing. I would say overall I removed approx. 85% of all swirls/rids with a total of 15 hours total into her.
Products used:
Dawn (for initial sudsing and stripping)
ONR
Opti clay
Megs 105/205
Lake county yellow/orange/grey
Optimum optiseal
Collinites 845
And for the vinyl top I decided to keep it simple and used some Optimum leather and vinyl protectant, worked surprisingly well and no glossy look or oily residue to later run.
For some reason I lost most of my 50/50 shots... New to android and all pictures were taken on my nexus 5. If I figure out where they are I will post them up. I'm still trying to get the hang of documenting the detailing process so until then hope these give you an idea.
All in all I wish I would of taken the size of this vehicle into consideration... I am almost out of 105/205 now.... And ran through almost all my good rags and pads just trying to get it done. It also didn't help that it was so big I couldnt even fit it in my garage, and it actually ended up raining one night. Luckily I had some collinites on the panels before the rain, as you can see the beading was great.
