    Andrew, I wouldn't stop there. See if you have long flat plastic pieces around that you can glue or epoxy to the grate to make baffles. Making it for free can't be beat.

    Thanks for all the comments guys, it was just a fun simple project that took about 5 mins not to much labor at all, plus i just like making stuff! if I can save 10 bucks in 5 mins ill do it lol, ill see if I can add some simple baffles out of something thanks guys!

    I think you could use some plexiglass or what ever the newer version of it is called.It would be pretty simple to cut with a jigsaw and cut a slit in the middleof each to slide into each other then epoxy or silicone adheisive.

    GREAT IDEA BTW. NO IM LOOKING FOR MILK CRATES THAT WILL WORK

    I have a dedicated bucket for my rinseless washes to avoid contamination with soap. Since it's square in shape, I wasn't about to cut up a new $10 grit guard to fit and looked for an alternative. They were doing some remodeling at work, tossing some old light fixtures. I scrounged one of the florescent light diffuser grids and with a little hacksaw work and some gluing, had a grit guard at zero expense.
