    Restoring my CR-Z's showroom shine

I got my new GG6 yesterday and went straight to polishing my CR-Z. It was in really good shape, just had some light swirls and scratches from (my) improper washing technique.

Wash: CG Citrus Wash & Gloss (1 oz per gallon to strip old wax)
    Clay: Meguiar's
Polish: Meg's M205 on white LC pad
    IPA wipedown
Sealant: CG Blacklight + V7 spray
    Wax: Poorboy's Natty's Blue

I tried taking before pics but honestly I couldn't capture the swirls. They were there, I promise. So anyhow, I just wanted to share how nice this combo worked out. Took me a while to decide which wax and sealants to try. I finally settled on CG BL/V7 topped with Dodo Purple Haze after seeing another member's post, but then I replaced the Dodo with PB Natty's Blue when I saw I could get 3X as much for half the price.

    Overall I'm pleased.

Great job on the CR-Z, that soft paint is soooo easy to work on! Looks stunning in the pic, would love to see some Collinite #915 on a black car, or some DG #111!

I too have a CR-Z (Storm Silver Metallic) and love detailing this car, cool body lines and because of its size your done in decent time. I'm lucky to have gotten the car brand new and really stay oontop of it and because of this I have not yet needed to use my 6" GG RO on the car, paint looks awesome!

Maybe you could post a couple more pics? Any mods to the car yet other than the JDM front emblem?

My next purchase is going to be some Collinite to prep for winter, though I'll probably go with 845 since I also have a light silver car.

As normally happens, I took my car out of the garage today and what do you know, it rained. Lemonade from lemons I said, as I took the opportunity to snap some true "wet" pictures.

My only mods to the car are the emblems & tint. That's probably all I'll do to it, since it was pretty much exactly what I needed when I bought it - a fuel efficient yet still fun to drive replacement for my gas-guzzling RX-8. When I need to feel some torque I have a 89 mustang in the garage.
