To translate for all of you. It drizzled for maybe a collective total of 2 min, then there was 'dew' on surfaces.. but esentially it was as if the fog was thick and the cloud was wetting vehicles

Yea, that is true, I kind of over exaggerated a bit but it was enough to get your car all dirty especially with all the dust I've had in my area and top it off with some light drizzle, the cherry on top.

Traditionally Honda are known to have softer paints

Not hard at all really, but not as soft as I had thought, either.

a good medium polish - Fixer - really cut through the swirls and finished up wonderfully using the white foam pads.

A second pass with fixer would have done wonders, and a finishing polish would have brought more out.
