2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Hardtop
Hello all,
I've been lurking in these in the forums for quite a while and I have never gotten around to posting any of my work. I detail in my free time as a hobby.
I did not take any pictures of the car before I started, but it had it's fair share of marring and light scratches.
A little background on the car: This is one of less than 1,300 hardtop Solstices built. This one happens to be a turbo 5-speed, with Mysterious (Black) paint, Ebony leather, and just 1,800 miles. This car belongs to my boss. He purchased it last week and wanted to have the paint corrected. I quickly agreed to help. Ha
I started with a 3-bucket wash with dish soap and Chemical Guy's APC. After claying, re-washing, and drying (with compressed air and a micro-fiber towel), I busted out my rotary and got to work. I used M205 with a Hex-Logic green pad followed up by a Hex-Logic black pad, and finally Meguiar's glaze with a Hex-Logic red pad. I finished with two coats of Chemical Guy's Butter Wet Wax.
The pictures speak for themselves.
Thanks for looking!

Nice job, but it's been said before. The power in the after pictures are determined by the before pictures. Just a lil tip

^This!
For all we know you just took pics of a shiny car in the lot... not saying that is true, but you get the point.
Car looks great though!

Welcome to AGO.
Where is the before, during, and after pictures?
You mentioned all rotary work including finishing with it. Lets see some full sun shots.

That's the plan for the car. Keep the mileage low and drive occasionally.

Unfortunately, I did not have access to a camera when I started. I wish I had though. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get full sun shots of the car, as it's currently stashed away.
All I've ever used is a rotary. I taught myself how to polish with it a couple years ago. I managed to achieve 95%+ clarity in the paint. As soon as I can grab some sun shots, I'll be sure to post them up!

Without before pics I can't comment on your work but I'll say that's one cool looking car.
Not trying to be rude, just saying
