Square One Detailed - 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

This was another vehicle from a client that we worked on last week Square One Detailed - 1100hp Challenger so he decided to let us work on his Jeep since he loved the Challenger so much. Same story as before, it was a garage queen and only gets driven on the weekends and occasionally to the track. He wasnt after perfection so we decided on a one step polish that would remove a good chunk of all the minor scratches on the vehicle. There was hardly any scratches on the vehicle and had plenty of clear on it so i decided on a finishing polish.

Same story as the Challenger as this one had engine work done but nearly near the power of the chally. I believe he said this one clocked at around 650hp (he made it sound like it wasnt anything really lol).

    Total Time Spent: 11 Hours

    Products Used:
Wheels: CG Diablo and Duragloss All Wheel Cleaner with various brushes used
Tires: Meguiars Super Degreaser (3:1) with various brushes
Wash: Foamed with Optimum Car Wash and washed with various mitts and brushes
    Dry: Waffle Weave Microfiber Towels
Clay: Speedy Prep DX Pad Medium Grade (used by hand with strap) w/ ONR as lube
Polish: Menzerna Super Finish on PC7424XP w/5.5inch Tangerine Hydrotech Pads
    Protection: Menzerna Power Lock
    Tire Dressing: Optimum Tire Shine
    Trim Dressing: UTTG+
Interior Cleaning: CG Nonsense (10:1) and (20:1)
    Interior Protection: Ultima Interior Guard

Unfortunately I didn't take many before pictures to a time crunch (there were a lot of sharp angles on this car that required attention) but here are the pics. Enjoy!

Started off with a good foam soak with Optimum Car Wash

And here is a before of the wheels. Slimy dressing and brake dust galore

And the after with tires dressed. We also hand polished the wheels a bit with Mothers Mag Aluminum Polish and some terry cloth's

We then proceeded to work on the interior and leather seats

Door jambs were also detailed well since they were a high priority for the client

The engine was wiped down and well and dressed

And finally here are the after pics after polishing and sealant applied

I didnt catch this smear here until after I took the photo lol

Truck looks great! As a former SRT8 owner though, unless that is a 440block (Arrington or HHP), that is most probably not making 650hp. From what I can see there is only a catch can (no added hp) and a CAI(15hp). Looks like a stock exhuast, no headers, which im almost positive means he didnt upgrade to a 440 block. Probably making 380hp to the wheels (365 stock). Again, truck looks great congratz!

Nice job on the Jeep but you shouldn't have used the Mag polish on those rims. The rims have a durabrite coating on them. The late late build 08's through 2010s have that coating. That's the most sensitive coating on rims that I have ever seen. Don't be surprised if the owner complains of spotting or the coating flaking.

There have been many threads about this coating on the SRT sites. This happened with my set too. Had to buy a new set of rims.

Looks great! What did it cost the SRT8 owner?

I spent ocer 6 hours detailing a Dodge Ram Dually crew cab, big truck that was covered in husky hair. I removed it all by sticking my fingers in a bucket of water and rolling up the hair with my fingers.
I got payed $80.00, but got $100 because he was so happy.

Indeed it would have. Bad type up on my end. I had my partner use optimum hyper polish with a mf applicator to polish then up, not the mag polish. My bad
