Black 2010 Nissan GTR - Anthony's Auto Detailing
The owner of this GTR contacted me a few weeks ago interested in correction and restoration of the paint. This GTR was plastidipped orange since January, and the owner removed it just a few days before I came to work on the car. There was some dip in some of the cracks and crevices that was a real pain to remove. I struggled for a while with it, and did the best I could for the time that I had. I even went by the next day for a few hours to try getting some more off, which I found using Tarminator to be amazing at breaking it down. I will do my best to get the rest off in a couple weeks as I will be going back since the owner is interested in coating with 22PLE after hearing about it.
Anyway, the owner wasn't around when I got there, so we had already made arrangements with keys, etc...so that I'd be able to get right to work. As I initially inspected the car, I found plenty of swirls and scratches, but the weird thing about the paint was the haze on it. It looked like an oxidized single stage paint. Luckily it cleaned up great, and hopefully my LSP will stop it from happening again(which is another reason 22PLE seems like a great idea).
I heard horror stories about Black GTR paint, however working on it didn't seem that bad. It corrected pretty nicely, and I was able to finish down without marring the surface.

I don't think I have ever seen paint that bad on a newer GTR.
Note to self and others. Don't dip paint.
Excellent work Anthony!
