Re: Swirled out Solstice
Did you know, Bob, that the Solstice has hydroformed frame rails and (certain) body panels? And a 50/50 weight distribution!! I've had the pleasure of taking a ride in a Mallett V-8 conversion, it was awesome!!
A lil personal Solstice history:
I was lucky enough to be one of the few Pontiac Salesmen to sell one of the first 1000 cars! They were specially badged and numbered..

My suggestion:
Invest in a DA and cut the 2 step (buff then hand glaze) process to 1 step THEN implement the proper washing techniques and your done.
Cyclo For The Win!
Have them test spot an abrasive AIO, preferably sealant. Then break it off proper with Colly
...I hypothesize that, in the long run, my suggestion would not only save our detailer time and energy, but would also increase the salability of our "specialty" inventory.
...So I'm pulling the Solstice in tonight and getting it started, then I can show our detail man what this is all about.. His exact quote was "feel free to bring it all in, but don't be mad if I hurt your feelings!"
Not sure exactly what he means, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.. Stay tuned!!
I may be able to offer some insight off off thread. Maybe other current/former house men will chime in. Sounds like he's not willing to play fairly.

The way I am taking that quote is he feels he knows more then you and he going to kick back and enjoy the amateur hour, but I don't know the tone that he used. Don't forget to take pictures of his reaction when your done.

That may be accurate... At least, that's the tone I hear it in.. lol
Lets hope he's standing by with some mineral spirits or IPA, that would certainly lead me to understand the assumptions he's made, and that would be priceless.
