Spruced Up Rental
Took the Buick in for some warranty work and upgraded the tires to Motivo's from Nitto. The dealership wanted to give me something similar and so I was given a Baby Lacrosse (Verano). Car had 700 miles and nicely equipped, but very small. In the end it was no loaded Lacrosse.
I decided to clean it up for them to the dismay of my wife. When we turned it back in a week later, they remarked NOBODY ever cleans up their rental before return. Wait till they rewash it and see the water and dirt wisk off the surface compared to their other rentals.
Wash:
Chemical Guys Pink Soap -- nice suds and cleaning power
Wheels:
Griots Wheel Cleaner -- works on all painted rims
Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat -- nice dark matte surface, durability
Wax:
Optimum Spray Wax --brings out the metallic, long lasting, quick application and no real removal.
Blackfire Crystal Seal -- lock in the look, make future washing simple and slick.
Glass:
DP Glass Restorer -- removes water spotting and streaks quickly and makes glass easier to see out of in rainy conditions.
Interior:
Chemical Guys Stripper Scent -- a scent worthy of a man or woman and leaves a unique and inviting scent.
Leather:
DP Leather Cleaner and Protectant Foam -- several dark spots on light leather quickly removed and looked new.
I often get emails asking how to do a quick cleanup and not spend all day on a car. Well this is it, about an hours time from start to finish (small vehicle) and it was a noted difference and will be for sometime. All these products work well together and won't break the bank. Likely around $100-125 in chemicals and most should last a year of more with normal use.

Re: Spruced Up Rental
That’s so funny that you should do such a thing. I picked up rental 3 weeks ago to commute to and from Connecticut for a project I am working on. I was to have the rental for 2 weeks and it was filthy when I picked it up. I attempted to detail it prior to my trip but my wife said absolutely, positively NOT. I could feel my skin crawl for 2 weeks and 2318 miles. I will be doing the same thing in February but for 3 weeks this time. I sure hope I get the car you returned.

Re: Spruced Up Rental
I use to work at a car rental. Basically, used a boat load of dish soap or car soap in large bucket or garbage pail, big brush, and scrubbed away. IMO, they probably wont really notice and wont really care. One less car for them to wash!

Awesome, both my car and my wife's car are leases. Sometimes I feel crazy for all the care I take to keeps these cars looking good.... great. Someone is gonna get a great lease return when ours are up.
Q: Which wax did you use the first? The spray wax or the Blackfire?

I use to call them a Baby Lacrosse, but after driving one I could NOT wait to give it back. Small, buzzy, and devoid of the options that make my Lacrosse CXS so comfy. I literally played patty cakes with the back seat passenger just to prove a point. I wanted to like it, but alas next time I'd rather use a Regal. I am sure its quieter than the Cruze ...
