Detailed - 1999 Buick Park Avenue - EHUTH1
Well I just got off 12hours of night shift 7pm 04/23 to 7am 04/24 then had a 2 hour meeting totaling my night up to 14 hours.... Now on my way home I had to pick up a full detail to do today and I haven't even seen the car.... I was hoping this was going to be easy, but then again when am I going to sleep.... The car turned out to be in near perfect shape and had just been washed a week ago, but the customer wanted a good buff and shine plus the carpet and leather cleaned.
Anyways on to the detail...
This ones for sparkie +++ Wash with DG 901 and white scmitt. *This is my soap for life now!! Great stuff with cleaning power and streak free drying!!! Cheap 2 !!!
Next I moved on to cleaning the tires, wheels, and wells. Westleys BW and Simple Green done the trick for me and the everything came out great considering minimum agitation was required.
I was on hour 16 and feeling it as well, but I said I can at least get it to the interior then maybe get a nap and get back to it after lunch..... Well after a big glass H20 and snack needless to say I was sailing, no sleeping till this ones done!
I got it pulled in the garage and started to dry the vehicle. I purchased some Wet-N-Wipe Speed Glaze (Spritz) from a car-care magazine awhile back and so far it's been an amazing time saver and gloss enhancer when you dry with MF towels. Simply spray on the wet surface, watch the water begin to break and wipe streak free.
After the vehicle was dried completely I broke out the XMT 360 and the PC with a orange CCS 6.5 pad. This combo blew my mind as I watched the paint just begin to shimmer and clean right before my eyes. The polish breaks down so fast and then the sealant leaves a wonderful slick appearance most people take 3 steps to achieve.
I went over the whole car and then proceeded to get moving on the interior using mild degreaser for trim clean up and door jambs. Using a el cheapo MF for this really worked great. Next I took out some my retired MEGS Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (Separate) and applied to all the leather. Not a very impressive product, but did the job..
The glass was cleaned with a WW MF and Crystal Image glass cleaner. Next I moved onto trim treatment. I purchased some UV2 Protectant from a friends auto parts store and so far so good. This stuff is great for interior being it repels dust and leaves a matte look if wiped over twice. It's a multipurpose dressing, but I find it works best for me on the interior.
Next I decided to dress the tires with AA Extreme Tire Gel with a Cobra Tire Dressing Applicator. This combo works for me and is still great for saving those pennies!!
Ok this part you may not like, but I wanted to add some depth to the Buick so I also planned on this customer sending me more business.... So here comes some Pinnacle Liquid Souveran for the final touch. The XMT 360 doesn't really need this, but with the slick clean prepared surface this just makes a perfect setup for bonding a awesome LSP like Liquid Souveran
It turned out better than expected and to be 1999 model with 77k original miles on it, you would think it just rolled off the show room floor. I had to drive it back to the customer hoping no bugs would attack it, but needless to say they would just splat and slide off, because this cars paint was SLICK !
It's time to get some sleep.
Hope everyone enjoys.

Nice, nice, nice!!! A job well done there, and a gteat write up to go with it.
I have always loved burgundy cars, too. Kudos!!
Did you take any before shots?
After all those hours, you must really feel proud of that great work.

That was the ol' woolite and MEGS carpet brush technique. Once moist just brush em back and let them sit in the sun to dry. That DG 901 smells awesome, wish they had some anti-bacterial J/k

good one!
On the woolite and MEGS carpet brush technique, thanks. I remember you said that before. I think I ask or someone did, forgot about it and thought about it again and done a search and could not fine it. Now I know. You know what I'm saying, I don't lol. Again, thank you.

That does look like it rolled of the showroom floor. Very sweet. Thanks for taking the time to do the write-up too.
