    Fall Clean Up

I park under a tree 24/7/365 and its nice it provides shade in the summer but this tree is also the bane of my cars existence. It drops these little crap apple looking things and they destroy all 4 of us that park near it in the fall.

Since the weather was exceptional today I took the chance to give the daily drive some attention. I only did the exterior. The plan was to use the 2 bucket method with ONR, APC and claying as needed. A polish step will be done next week as the sun had set on me. Its good enough for now.

    Darn you tree!!

This is what I was dealing with.

Weapon of choice after having done this a few times already. APC followed by Clay and then ONR. The Pinnacle Sponge was the only thing that got off some of the gunk as the clay was too mild so it came in handy.

Some pics of the APC dwelling to break down this nasty gunk all over.

Here is the after, not perfect but much better. She lives another week. Thanks for reading and feel free to ask any questions

    Items used:

Sponge - Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad can be used on glass, chrome, vinyl, fiberglass, paint and clearcoats—100% safe when used with soapy water.
ONR - Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products
Clay - Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit, meguiars detailing clay,
APC - Meguiars D103 All Purpose Cleaner Plus

Your better of parking in direct sun than parking under a tree that craps on your investment.

I hate trees, especially in the spring and fall.

Wow, I hope you are using a good LSP with constant tree contaminants like that. Looks much better!

Wow! That really came out nice! What APC did you use to remove that? I had that same problem on my sister's car few weeks back and it was a real pain.
