His & hers, new car prep and Opti-Guard coating on a BMW 7 Series and a 650i Conv.

These car were done for the same owner so I figured I'd just group them together in one article. First up is the husbands 2012 ActiveHybrid 7. The owner actually had this car for a couple months before I could fit it into my schedule. He said he had only used touch-less washes but that it had been prepped by the dealer, and apparently it saw a few swirl-o-matic washes prior to delivery as well. It was originally scheduled for a 1-step correction, but upon dropping it of it was clear that it would need much more correction work than that.

Correction was done using multiple passes with M105/Surbuf followed by M205/foam

Next up is the wife's 650i Convertible. They opted for the European delivery on this one so it was some time after I did the 7 Series before that it came in. This one was in a little better shape as the owner asked for it not to be detailed and I got it the very next day after it arrived. However, there were still a few areas where someone had done some aggressive polishing which left behind some moderate/heavy marring. Otherwise a light 1-step polish cleared most everything up.

    Before pics

It was hard to capture in the pics but IronX was doing work and there was a fair amount of contamination on the paint.

Few areas with adhesive left behind from the protective wrap

    Swirls/Marring were hard to capture...

Spot correction was done with M105/foam/rotary followed by Optimum Hyper Polish/foam/DA

I hit the leather with Leather Masters cleaner and protection cream too.

    Thanks for looking,
    Rasky

    Incredible work.

I would love to have one of those portable lifts.

Nice work! I bet you could drive those BMW's back to the dealership and they'd be the best looking cars on the lot!

The lift is actually a mid-rise (scissor) lift. It's made by Direct-Lift and retails for $1600. Saves my lower back!
