He's good. But I'm not seeing $8,000 worth of work here, ha.
I know this is an old thread...but still. Seems a bit like an over achiever to me. Car came out fantastic...but I know quite a few folks that could do that for much less money, no readings, no software program, and no secret oils.
I think his price simply comes from marketing himself. For that...I say kudos. But the work isn't worth $8,000...that's ridiculous.
You get what u pay for.... Let's not mince words here, Paul is in the upper echelon. Not that his skills cannot be matched but rather, you can only get automotive clear coat so flat. Instead of being envious to the point of being a "hater" let's realize that while pauly d charges 10k for a job it makes my measly $1700 fee seem like a pittance! He is furthering the industry...
Nuff said, punto finale!
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people finally realizing that quality paint correction/detailing costs money just like any other service. However, in this discussion I personally believe it is borderline taking advantage of customers...but then again if they are not willing to do the research I guess they have no one to blame but themselves. Still IMO it is on the shady side of things charging this much for what is basically a good detail with a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
