toyota tundra new car detail + opti-coat

this is a brand new 2012 toyota tundra. the guy bought it from toyota and noticed all the swirl marks, "yes, new cars come with swirls" and told the manager that it was unacceptable. the manager told him he would take care of it and took it to the so called "detailers" at the dealer. They ATTEMPTED to correct it and made it worse. The manager saw that the finish came out so bad that he then took it to the body shop, and the body shop ATTEMPTED to correct it. Again, to no avail. So, I took the job, did a 3 step paint correction and added the semi permanent coat "opti-coat 2.0". I also polished out the chrome and applied uttg to all the exterior trim. the pictures speak for themselves.

Amazing turn around!! That thing went through two bad detailers and you still brought it back.

yeah the dealer was very obnoxious. they were trying to tell me that I DIDNT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE ALL BLACK CARS ARE LIKE THAT AND THERES NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. he said his detailers where good and his body shop even better. He then got in his BLACK CAR and it had holograms, swirls, missing clear, stained trim, just everything lol.

The customer should take the truck back to the dealer and say this is the way to detail a vehicle.

What products did you use for the 3 step paint correction ?
Did you use a rotary or a DA polisher ?

He should absolutly take it back to the dealership . . . along with one of your business cards! Who knows what that may lead to . . . at a minimum the manager may have you do his car instead of letting the hacks in his shop touch it again. Or it may lead to a teach & train gig for you, which you should get paid well for.

Excellent work BTW!! I stopped by a local toyota dealership this week and looked at a black tundra, very nice truck execpt for the DISO. Also noticed terrible swirls and holograms on a 'just preped for customer' black camry, it looked awful.
