70 Cuda /472 Hemi by Advanced Detailing of South Florida

I have special appreciation for Mopars, especially Cudas.
When i started college in Louisiana i met a friend in Engineering school who introduced me to Mopars. He had a 72 Charger with a 440 that he made very fast while on a budget.
Soon after i bought my very first car, a 69 Charger.
From then on it was on Mopar after another. Three different Cudas in all among them.
So when my regular client told me he had picked up this 472 hemi cuda, even though not a real Cuda, i was excited to work on it.
He first had to send it out for some restoration work.
Too bad it's going up for sale on E-Bay this week.
It was a little difficult to capture the imperfections on the Plum crazy paint but i tried to take at least a couple pictures.
Sip, 106 and BFWD was used.

I have a soft spot for Cuda's as well. Back in the day I had 2 1970 Cuda's, one was a 440 and the other the 340, both had their own personalities....

This pictorial really brought back some memories and it looks like who ever did the mods was pretty good. One area the cars of that era lacked was brakes and suspension. Today, complete re-engineered bolt-on suspensions are available complete with disc brake packages...and I see one here.

Plumb crazy is one of the love - hate colors. While it's not a favorite of mine I would welcome it with open arms with this Cuda real or not...

    Simply stunning!

You did good, sometimes it's challenging to capture the swirl shots this time of year...

A combination that works on just about any paint system...

I'm sorry, you lost me when you said that was not a "real" 'Cuda. Was that the original paint? Nice 'Vette in the garage.

Nice car and amazing job. I love BFMS.

Like Setec Astronomy said, why is this not a real Cuda?

Great job on a nice car. Love the car and the color. Mopar had the best colors available on their muscle cars.
The Vette in the garage doesn't look too bad either. Guessing a 65 or so.

Re: 70 Cuda /472 Hemi by Advanced Detailing of South Florida

The base models were Barracuda and the term 'Cuda was reserved for the high performance models i.e. Hemi 'Cuda, 440 six pack Cuda etc. This car is a Grand Sport base model Barracuda. The Grand Sport was more of an optional interior package.
That's why i said not a real 'CUDA but a Barracuda nonetheless.
had it been a genuine Hemi Cuda, we would be talking about A LOT more money.
He's still asking $79,900 and the Vette just got sold for $105,900.
It's a '67,original big block, A/C car that i had previously posted also.
