    Repainted Grill - BMW

Upon inspecting my car more closely, AFTER I bought it, I found that one of the grills had busted clips and was being held in place by tape. Started looking around at replacements and decided I was going to replace the chromes with blacks. At $80 + shipping, I decided to give PlastiDip a shot since it worked so well on my console.

    Here it is -

Before (please excuse the road rash..)

    After -

A little sanding, and 3 coats later they were done. Pleased once again, Plastidip has yet to let me down. Durability and ease of cleaning are yet to be determined, but worse case, I spring for the new ones.

Looks great! The Dr.Colorchip system would do wonders for all of those paint chips.

Thanks, and yes, about to order the kit. Going to recut/polish the hood and trunk and hit the rash with Colorchip. I discovered it on the site AFTER I finished my first cut/polish last week unfortunately.

You can spray a clear coat over the Plasti-Dip to give it a shadow black look to it if you wanted to.

Interesting. Do you know of any pics online where I can check the look?
