thanks for the kind words. I would post more pics but this was my old car. I think I went a bit overboard detailing it before the sale but the new owner(my sister) was very very happy when she picked it up. I took these pictures for memories.
The only reason I decided to post this was because of an email I received a few days ago regarding a detail photo contest. I figured I'd give it a shot and post my pictures.
I spent 2 days all hand waxed to obtain that shine. Here's a complete list of products and the process.
Day 1:
Washed car with Dawn soap to strip any old wax residue, dried car w/air compressor and then clayed with an off-the-shelf mothers clay product and WoW detailer spray.
washed again using sonus gloss shampoo.
dried car again and applied 1 coat of Klasse AIO with a damp microfiber sponge.
A few hours later applied the first coat of ex-p
Day 2:
Dust off car (OXO duster) wipe clean with WOW ultimate detailer spray and sonus microfiber WW towel.
applied 2nd coat and then after having lunch applied the third coat.
next I spent about an hour admiring how great the car looked and took these photos.
I miss having a black car so much! my new car is a IS250 in smokey gray mica and I don't get that same satisfaction after a detail. While it does look good I cant get that same deep glossy shine no matter how many coats of wax I apply. Maybe I should try another brand of wax/sealant? or could it be that metallic paints just cant show depth like flat jet black paint can?
