    2011 Camaro SS convertible correction

Hey guys, had my first 5th gen Camaro convertible come in recently. After years of waiting for the new camaro and then the convertible, it was awesome to finally check it out in person. Hard to beat 93 million miles of headroom and a rumbling V8. This was sold and owner noticed it had a lot of scratches on it, so they brought it back and had me come out to do some much needed correction on it.

With less than 400 miles on it, I was anticipating it being a bit cleaner upon arrival, but it just wasn't meant to be.... After an ONR wash and claybar it was time for the correction. It got spot correction with M105 LC cyan pad, then the rest of the car got M205 LC tangerine pad. Polishing oils were removed with an IPA wipedown. Sealant choice was Blackfire Wet Diamond. While not a full correction, it came out very nicely and the owner was pleased and drove away with a smile.

    Onto the pics..

Some of the heavy scratches the owner wanted corrected..

    After correction....

Nice work man. How come the owner didn't want full correction...didn't wanna pay or wasn't that concerned about it?

You sure look like you got very close to full correction. Gotta love those HT pads.

Did you use rotary or a DA or what for correction?

Those outside shots were pretty sweet, but i gotta ask, how did you get in with a DEALERSHIP for detailing..they usually have their own :cough cough: 'detialers' that they have do their hack job...erm...detailing...before the car is sold or put on the lot.

Sweet job man...looks like I'm not the only one doing a late night write up lol

Cost was the limiting factor keeping it from a full correction. I think it ended up around 90-95% correction, thanks! I used DA for it.

They have their own 'detailers' but they call me in for the bigger jobs and any paint correction.

So how did you approach a big dealership like that...or did they come to you? Have to do any sample work for them to get your foot in the door?

Did it roll off the truck from the factory looking like that? Scares the heck out of me as in the future I would like one of these (Black ZL1?)

    Great job!

They actually approached me. They had seen some of my work and wanted to try me out. They had me do one car to see if they liked the quality, and the rest is history.

Can't say where the damage occurred since I saw the car after it was sold.

    Thanks!
