Lexus ES330 by M.R. Detail Shop

This client came to me by the way of a referral from one of my good long time clients. On the phone he said he needed to sell this car ASAP so he wanted the outside to look its best without doing a full paint correction, he also said it wasn't in too bad a condition. Now doing this for over 12 years now I know that when a first time client says that I should expect the worst. Well when I arrived to do the job from a distance it looked nice as black cars usually do. But upon a closer inspection it was swirled up and the paint felt like sand paper. I was not able to wash this car in the hangar, my client works on an airport, so I had to settle for a warehouse in the parking lot. No running water available so ONR via 2 bucket method was in order. I followed with DI fine clay and Dodo Juice born slippery clay lube. After 2 IPA wipe downs I inspected the car and this is what I found:

    Nice from far away!

But up close again was another story.

Now after doing some testing I decided to go with Menzerna Power Finish, White LC Flat with a PC7424X.
This is a couple 50/50 shots after only one quick pass.

Not fully corrected yet but a nice start. I went with another pass or two depending upon the condition of the paint.
After I was done polishing and 2 IPA wipe downs I pulled it out into the sun to check it out.

After I saw this it was time to go back in and finish her up with BFWD via PC. I have started applying all my LSP by PC and LOVE it. It is so much quicker and I finally found good use for some CCS pads that I have stored away.
    Here is the BFWD curing.

While the BFWD was doing its thing I got to all the finishing touches, Optimum Tire Bond Gel for applied to the tires, 845IW applied to the rims, Stoners IG for all the glass and a quick wipe down with ONR under the hood.
    Here are some final shots!

This next shot is my favorite! The reflection and lighting were perfect!

    And some final outside shots!

    Thanks for viewing!!
Have a great Thanksgiving enjoy the time with your family!

I know the orange peel was only bad on a couple of the doors, the client needed to be coaxed into going for a one step polish. As he was just selling it I wasn't going to bother with selling him on getting rid of the orange peel.
