Hello folks
I know if you're looking at this thread you enjoy perusing detail jobs just as much as I do, so I just wanted to share some pics of my first machine polished detail for you to (hopefully) enjoy This is my personal daily driver, which unfortunately sits outside 24/7. I took an interest in detailing earlier this year so my car was actually in pretty decent shape before this detail. I know Mike P says "the power is in the before shots", but I didn't waste much time on getting those shots because she looks pretty good even in the before shots
Anyways, if you're interested in my system here are the details in chronological order:
- Washed using ONR in a 2 bucket system and hand dried with Cobra MFs (non WW)
- Clay bar treatment using Megs OTC clay bar and ONR as a clay lubricant
- Quick second ONR wash to clear off lubricant
- Wheels cleaned with DP Cleanse All
- Dressed with DP Gloss Tire Gel
- Chicago Power Tools rotary buffer with a Megs 5.5" backing plate and 6.5" Soft Buff 2.0 yellow polishing pad
- Compounds used were Poorboy's SSR 3 and Megs Ultimate Compound
- Topped with DP Poli-Coat Sealant
- Black trim treated with Mothers Back to Black and Megs Ultimate Protectant
- Jambs cleaned with Simple Green APC and DP Cleanse All
And since onto the pictures..
