Buddy of mine bought a used z06. Black on black. Previous owner was 22 and didn't take very good care of the car. Such as scratching the hell out of the fender while removing the supercharger. He also pretty much gave up on cleaning the wheels for a year. So I decided I'd give it a shot and see what I could do. Pictures on the way.

Interior:
Vacuum
Wipe all plastic with cockpit premium
10/1 APC on carpet, agitate, remove with towel
Vacuum again
Mats had same treatment plus blasted with pressure washer
Seats treated with lexol
303 on all interior plastics

Wash:
Foam cannon with dawn and megs super soap
Megs wheel brightener
Bug squash on bumpers and mirrors
APC on exhaust and wheel wells

Polish:
7336
Lake country pads 6"
Yellow, orange, white, black, blue
Megs 105
Megs 205
Klasse AIO
Klasse sealant
Pinnacle sovereign

Stoners trim shine
Stobers more shine on tires
Mothers metal polish for exhaust

Naturally, everyone here loves to see the before and after photos. Post them when you get them! :props:

What is this, the dark ages? You waiting to get your 35mm film back from the developer? Pics or this car doesn't exist!

:p

I think you need to invest in a better camera :P

Vettes are a real pain to work on. The clearcoat takes a lot of work to get any correction out of them.

No kidding. But a light breeze over a dusty paint job will put swirls on. :surrender:

That's some serious hard work on that black car!

Sorry guys, I finished working last night about 4 a.m. There are more pictures coming, new to the uploading thing. Ironic as I "work" in IT. I'm not even close to finishing. Still have the whole front bumper to work out as well as lay the pinnacle down on the rest of rear of car, 303 the interior, vac again, clean glass, lexol seats, shine external trim, shine tires, final expection, and...deliver back.

How it showed up:

You should probably get better lighting to show the defects more clearly as well as what you've accomplished. :)

I absolutely agree. Fighting the fact that my garage has only 2 outlets to work with. I'm a new home owner, and I certainly don't do this for a living. More of a prosumer. And yes, the camera phone isn't the best either. Hey, I'm trying...:)
