    New Guy Headlight Restorations

I have just started doing Headlight restorations as a side business. And I thought I'd post some of my work. My first test was a headlight from a 1991 Chevy Pickup.

The second vehicle was a 2005 Hyundai Elantra. the first pic is a before shot.

The second pic is after sanding with 800, 1000, and 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sanding.

And the final pic is an after shot after polishing with Megs PlastX and a Powerball Mini and applying the Spar Uerathane UV sealer that I have learned about on this very website.

Any comments and opinions are appreciated. Thanks for looking!!!

looks great! Still haven't tried out that sealant yet but I'd like to. I do some headlights here and there too. Certainly an easy sell/add on.

Looking good. The spar looks like it set up uneven on the last picture (left corner?) Looks like it's not dry or even?

The spar flowed out very even and smooth. What you are seeing is an imperfection inside the lens. The inside had what looked to be some dust that settled on some condensation that was once inside the lens. But the spar uerathane flowed out perfectly smooth and even. Works super good and the owner was very satisfied. So satisfied that He is having me do his other cars as well. Can't wait to get to it Friday morning.
