Detailed: Lexus LS430 (MAX WAX follow up)

Yes, this fine auto was the test subject of my wheel ShMitt as well as the 100th vehicle washed with my wash ShMitt. This was one of my very first paid details and I've washed her every week for the last 7 months. I've used just about every wax I've owned on it to test for ease and durability. Each time it recieved a polishing to remove any previous wax. The interior was fine.....just a wipe down and vacuum.
About 2 months ago, it recieved a coat of DP's Max Wax. This time I wanted to try yet another wax.....Collinite's Marque D' Elegance Past Wax. Of course I took some before and water beading pics for this mini-review.

Here's what the Lexus got this day....

    DP's Final Polish
(EDGE2K Orange "Wave" Polishing Pad with a #5 PC setting)
After a total examination of the paint's condition, I saw now swirls.......even after using my 100-vehicle-old wash ShMitt! All I wanted to do was remove the existing layer of Max Wax....why, I don't know! I just wanted to test out a new wax. LOL!

Collinite's Marque D' Elegance Past Wax

(Applied by hand and removed with EDGE2K White Finisihing Pad)
Once again, this wax went on so easy. With a primed foam applicator pad, a little goes a long way. I put on an even, thin layer and let dry for abou 15 minutes. Aaron from EDGE had talked with me about a wax removing technique which uses their white foam pad acting like like a MF bonnet. Yep. I buffed off the wax at a #5 speed. UNBELIEVABLE! This new technique yeilded some amazing reflection results as you will see.

    Other products used....

    Meguiar's NXT Car Wash
    (EDGE Wash ShMitt)
    Meguiar's APC
(4:1 on wheels and tires as well as inner fenders and lower rockers.)
    (Used EDGE Wheel ShMitt.)
    Armor All Extreme-Shine Tire Gel
    DP's Wheel Glaze
    Stoner's Invisible Glass

    Befores....dirtiest it's been in 4 months!

Max Wax Beading before removal........2 months old.

You used the Edge white pad to buff off the wax? Same white pad that comes in the Edge 2K kit I have? May have to try that........

Collinite 915 is a great wax. On light colors it looks top notch, and on darks it has a very nice, deep, warm glow.

Thanks bro.......I'm really trying! I'm not paid at all. If I was, I would not be washing cars in 30deg. weather!

The fact of the matter is that even if you were (which you're not), what damn difference would it make?

If someone would pay you to wash cars with steel wool, would you do it? Probably not.

That just shows how I don't like Autopia very much, you always have to deal with people like that over there.

    It shouldn't!
It's like the detailer from the UK getting all that dough from detailing. Most on Autopia said he's not doing anything different from anyone else. True except for one thing.......the freak'n money! I defend him all the time. I'm really hating Autopia. Narrow minded fools. I remember most of them saying that terry cloth was best and this new thing called Micro Fiber is just a fad.......LOL!
