O.C.Detailing (Lynchburg, VA) and Hill City Auto Detail - 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo

Okay, so it's been quite a while since i've posted a detail by John (VR8) and myself. So here goes.

Here we have a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo (Non-SS). This vehicle was actually purchased by a friend for resale. He got a great deal on it in the condition you see it in in the before pictures and decided it'd be worth his while to hire John and I to "recondition" it so that he could earn a good return on a sale. He wanted us to do a full interior/exterior detail on the vehicle and get the engine cleaned up as well. Onto the process

    PROCESS and PRODUCTS:

    - Wash via Meg's Gold Class Shampoo with Rastafarian mit and Natural Wool mit.
    - Clayed with Meg's light claybars
    - Engine detailed with Meg's Super Degreaser and APC and aggitated with several soft-bristle brushes.
    - Wheels cleaned with Meg's Wheel Brightener, 2-bucket method and car wash solution.aggitated with a plethora of brushes and towels to get into all of the nooks and crannies. Tires dressed with Meg's Endurance Tire Gel
    - Carpets and seats cleaned with Mytee Hot Water Extractor, PC7424 with Carpet and upholstry brushes and Meg's Carpet and Upholstry cleaner. A medium-strength degreaser mix was used as the cleaning agent in the Extractor.
    - Paint correction was done using Meg's 105 on Cyan Hydro-tech pads followed by 205 on Tangerine HT pads.
    - LSP was Meg's NXT 2.0 (I believe.)

Here are a couple of in-process 50/50s though they aren't very good or fully corrected. Forgive the lighting. All of the days we worked on this car were rainy and stayed that way until he sold it a few days later.

And a couple of outdoor shots though there was no sunshine for proper photos.

Sorry for the crappy lighting and lack of sun. Was a bad week that week, but the interior came out really nice. He made $2500 on top of his initial investment on the sale of the car.

Somewhat out of order, but these are worth sharing. The interior was sooo bad we decided to remove the seats before attacking with the extractor.

Wow! That was a nasty looking interior. Great job bringing this vehicle back to life. I hope your friend gave you a nice tip since he made $2500.00 on top of his initial investment.

He paid us fairly well for the work. No tip, but there was an issue with the passenger's side mirror. John went to polish the mirror and the second he touched it, the mirror actually fell out of the housing...he barely even touched it and the mirror fell out. We worked on the car for 2 full days and he wanted to deduct $50 from the $200 we charged him for the work...he finally realized that he'd already gotten a great deal from us (meaning a big discount) and he sold the car with the mirror missing and still got that money on top of what he paid for the car.

And thank you for the compliments guys. We do try hard to give the absolute best we can.

    You aren't charging enough.

    Great turn around!
