Re: 2007 Lexus GS 350
I've used mothers mag and aluminum polish or even megs all metal polish. You'll have to work it a little, they're pretty nasty but they should come clean. I use the shoe polish method. Fold towel long ways till it looks like a shoe polish rag , fold it in half and dip the fold into the polish, unfold and wrap the towel around the tip so your pulling down on both sides now goto town I found this to be the easiest way to get between the tip and the body. Obviously that only works for the top of the tip. Send pics let me know if it worked, it should thats the only way I've ever cleaned tips and they always come out nice. Nice job on the car too.

Nice! I can't wait to see how those exhaust tips come out.
This is probably going to be my next car, except in maybe a champaign sort of silver. Still just making decisions.
I assume that the client is returning it on Monday to have the interior done?
I can't wait to see some pics of that and to know your method.
Thanks

Re: 2007 Lexus GS 350
Looks great. For the exhaust tips I would use 0000 Steel Wool, followed by Meg Hot Rims chrome. If you needed something stronger M105 on a Mothers polishing ball works great, follow up with DG 501

Re: 2007 Lexus GS 350
Well, I went to a Wally World store this morning, by 5AM of course, and bought some Eagle One Nevr-Dull wadding polish and Mothers PowerBall Mini. I've been wanting to buy that Mini for a while. I NOW have a good reason to buy it. LOL I will use those AND the Mothers Billet Metal Polish on Monday when I get the Lexus back to be completed.

Re: 2007 Lexus GS 350
Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish has worked very well for me. I've also heard of some people using Meguiar's M105, but I haven't tried that yet.

Re: 2007 Lexus GS 350
The trick I use on all chrome tips to clean is Comet & Scotch Brite Pad. Soak the pad in wash bucket put some comet on and scrub w/ lite pressure the comet will do work and eith wet its flexible enough to get in the tight area. Then use the Mothers Mini with some Metal polish.
LoL
