    Detailed: 2003 MasterCraft X7

    Yet another referral.
This boat was in awesome condition. I've seen new ones not look this good. The customer called me wanting to get some "shine" out of the red gel coat. Interior was very simple...vac, wipe down, and protectant. Here's what the hull, and yes, the trailer got.

    Meguiar's #80
(EDGE 2000 Green Pad at #6 setting)

    Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax-Liquid
(EDGE 2000 White Pad at #3 setting)

    DP's Max Wax...2 coats
    (Applied by hand-removed by hand)

I used NXT as a sealant this time. I let it cure for about 2 hours before applying the Max Wax. Once again, I fell in love with this paste. Goes on so easy. Leaves remarkable shine with depth and glow. I really enjoying applying it by hand.

Just curious but is polishing the paint on a boat's hull the same as a auto clear coat? I see you used #80.

Also, realistically speaking, how long would the NXT and Max Wax last once submerged? Or was it really for short term shine to deliver to the customer?

    Wow, that's awesome.

How long did that boat take you? It looks huge. Waxing by hand had to have taken a long time. How far under the boat do you go as far as cleaning and paint care? Are there areas that just can't be reached since it's sitting on a trailer?

You're definitely right about the Max Wax. I bought some about a month ago. Previously, I used PB Natty's Blue. I think Natty's Blue is really good but Max Wax is so good that there's no comparison. When people say something goes on like butter, I now think of Max Wax. Application and removal are just so unbelievably easy. Max Wax is definitely my favorite wax by far. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to afford some Souveran paste for comparison.

    Again, great work Justin!
