    Bunch'a Bimmers

I decided to group up the BMW's and show the finished bunch. The black 540i was a "bear"...took 4 days to work and get 100% corrected. Every time I "thought" it was done, glazing and Ultrafina would highlight an area I missed in removing wet sand haze. The areas were mostly in concave body areas. I ended up using System One X3 and a polish pad to get these areas. Finished the car late yesterday with a coat of Meguiar's #26 and will take some decent sunshine pics Monday. The black car was heavily scratched and swirled when I started and the finish now is OEM brilliant.

Silver 745i: Used wool pad and compound followed by polishing and a final coat of Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealant.

Silver 335i: Wool pad and compound (had to re-do a few areas that I missed on the hood...ugh) followed by Meg's 21 as the LSP

The dealer and I are going to conduct a compound face off on a Black BMW 550i next week: System One X3 on one door panel versus 3M Extra Cut on the adjacent door...should be interesting and maybe settle some disputes he and I have over the effectiveness of System One.

You've got that paint beautiful on those Bimmers.

Off topic: I talked to some Ford people and Hertz isn't doing what they expected at action with the Cobra like you had at DFIII. The one that you did is probably their best chance.

The black Bimmer had a lot of wetsanding done to it. At the dealer's request that I not show "process work", I will abide by that request. He had an incident where a potential customer saw some before/during/after posted and commented that to the dealer.

Maybe after the car is sold, I can post pics of some work.

To achieve excellence, excellence cannot be rushed. Technique is just as important as the product used.
While my approach takes more time, the results are far superior.
