    Let's see some pics

Looking forward to seeing the transformation detail you'll give the next one! You'll enjoy the new 2.0t It was a big switch for me who has had AWD and bigger power in my daily drivers but with 2 in college, choice had to be made for now. Like you noted, it's got plenty of torque and APR has a SOLID tune for these. Downpipe it and add the tune and you'll love it even more.

    Re: A farewell detail

Since we keep talking about it, here’s a preview of the new shooter - these are from May when I went to his house talk to him about the car (and look at it with eyes towards ownership, not just being the technician servicing it). He was on the hunt for a Q8 for his next car; it wasn’t until the end of June that he found his replacement.
It was in the shade, so you don’t get the full color effect, but you can just make out it’s not straight black.

As mentioned above, probably software at some point (+69 HP and +88 TQ, puts it to 317hp, 363tq).
Rear sway bar like I had in the avant (I'll regulate my understeer on my own, thank you. Though gratefully it's not come up as an issue thus far.).
Window tint for some extra UV blockage.

Was originally thinking of doing Eibach Prokit springs like the last 2 dailies; but with the sport suspension I don't hate the ride height, and handling wise I've not been disappointed. Plus when I did a quick look before I bought the car, 3.0t springs were on the shelf most places but I don't think the 2.0t ones were.

One thing I really like about Eibach is they take engine/bodystyle into account, unlike other brands where they sell you the same kit for a wagon or sedan. For my B5 avant, I had to order the Eibach kit from the UK since no one in the states had that kit anymore. (Car was 14 years old at that point, and the less common wagon on top of that. If I remember right, The Eibach rep I talked to mentioned the spring rates for the rear were the same as the B5 S4 avant kit which was available, but the fronts were 2.8 specific. Had no interest in buying 2 kits to make one.). Plus, they don't leave the car riding like a lumber wagon like I've run into with others.

    A farewell detail

Also already have a set of snow tires for it and another set of wheels.

Keeping it simple and sticking with 19's for both; picked up a set of really clean '14 S6 wheels that hardly spent any time on the car (still have the original rubber with usable tread if the age doesn't scare you). Originally I bought them to throw the snows on, but they're so clean I'm left debating which season I use which wheels for. Feels a little poseur-y to run them in the summer for some reason; but like my wife mentioned - the 2 people I'd run across that actually knew what they were probably wouldn't judge...

    Re: A farewell detail

My vote is to run the summers on the S6 wheels and the winters on the wheels on the car now.

I've always liked the design of the wheels found on S cars.

I vote for the S6 wheels with summer rubber as well. I wouldn't worry about anyone calling you a "poser" it's not like you slapped a S6 badge on it.

Im guessing this poser talk was from my comment about jdgoldens new hood.

It was to be takin as a joke. I would expect the same in return.
