You guys like Gyeon Primer better than CarPro Essence? I would expect they’d be more similar than different.

About the same. I stay with whichever system I'm applying and don't mix them. YMMV

Re: Can Coat - 6 months

I couldn't help myself. I just ordered 250ml of Sonax Perfect Finish and 10 TRC 365's, they look great. (Thanks Mike, never seen them anywhere before(Canada) until i seen them on Amazon dot ca last night.

In the past i got some heavy scratches out of my blue toyota with PF and the very coarse foam white pad from Griots garage. On my car i can use PF for both cutting and finishing. I'm still using primer to cleanup and laydown that nice smooth finish.

I almost finished my 16oz bottle of 3D One, that's going back on the shelf! Probably for good..cutmax for anything else.

Yeah I liked original CC till about the 10 month mark. It was still there and beading past that but just was not CanCoat impressive anymore.

I don't think CC will last through this winter based on where it's at now and how frequently I wash. I'll likely being relying on Wet Coat this winter. I was going to put another coat on, but I think I'll wait until next Spring and use CC Evo maybe.

Have any more cancoat left over? Why not do a decon, prep wipe and slap some more cancoat on b4 winter? So you know your good for the winter months, from my understanding wet coat has nothing on cancoat. Unless im wrong?

You're right. It's not a bad idea. I may do that. CC is superior to Wet Coat.

Wet coat has very little lasting power and honestly won't hold a candle to CanCoat in any way. I use it on coated wheels and grills, etc. but that's about it. Use CanCoat prior to winter and you'll be good.

I did exactly this at least once while I was using CanCoat and it worked great. For me it was a matter of timing. I knew I needed to do a full exterior detail of one of my vehicles, but time and weather was not on my side, I simply did what you describe and then pushed the new LSP application to the spring.
