It is a shame that compounding had to be used to correct the defects. That is a lot of microns of clear coat removed.

I agree, but the dealerships don't care and don't want to be educated on it either. Even on a $100,000 plus car, they would want to charge the customer for the "detail"

In 2001 they offered a color called dark bowling green. A friend use to have one

I have on occasion checked the before/during and after thicknesses. Never after I've coated though. (this may morph into a new thread one day!)

The car was delivered 'in the wrapper' and my client was there for delivery. Vehicle has not been touched, and was not supposed to have been touched, by anyone but me. This will most likely remain one of life's mysteries!
