Re: C8 Corvette
Absolutely top-notch as usual. Does it ever get old working on such beautiful cars?? Do some of these tempt you to add to your own garage?

Re: C8 Corvette
That car looks incredible, excellent job perfecting that red. I'm a ford guy through-and-through but I'd make an exception for this ride.

Thanks everyone!!! I really do appreciate all the responses/comments!!
Paint is very pleasant to work with. On the medium/soft side.
My go to pads nowadays are the LC Hybrid Power pads.
Yes, sometimes the vehicles I work on can/will tempt me to add one to the stable!!!
Thanks again everyone!

Looks nice! As nice as you can do with the horrible paint finish these things have.
Last time you posted a C8 that you worked on I asked about the paint finish quality, if was any better than the C7s. You said no, maybe even worse, and I can see why.
I still haven't seen C8 up close but I can see in the photos how bad the paint finish is. A couple of the rear deck photos are very telling. When you can clearly see the paint texture in a photo, then you know it's pretty bad.

Performance per $$$ spent is why you buy a Vette, if you’re looking for “fit and finish” you should look somewhere else and you’ll be spending a whole lot more.
It’s a beautiful thing for what it is, a potent inexpensive track tool, it could come wrapped in a paper bag and aluminum foil and would still be a good deal.
Nice job Sizzle, but I’d rather see it coated in race rubber and brake dust!

Yep-- proven fact best bang for the buck out there-- no question about that

Hate to be critical, and yeah, it came with the dealer installed DISO Option, but to me as well (maybe it's the pictures?) but looks like Bowling Green also gave it the infamous chebby orange peel option as well. The relections in all shop pics look muddy to me.

GM built a new $500M paint shop at BG just a few years ago. It is supposed to be state-of-the-art when it comes to painting carbon fiber and other specialized plastics. And it uses a new, more environmentally-friendly "dry scrub" system to recapture paint instead of the more traditional water capture systems.
So, disappointing that they have not been able to get the paint finish quality dialed in. From what I have seen among C8's so far, they are getting better but still a long way to go.

Re: C8 Corvette
I am always a fan of red corvettes but seeing those photos makes me sad and mad at GM for dropping their quality.
I would not accept that car unless Sizzle Chest first had performed his stellar work to bring it back to life!
Now it is really a new car look, but agree that is a lot of red to look at!
