Coyote Powered F150 and Dr Beasley Z1

    Completed this today...

This thing is jacked way way up in the air and the animal is powered by a supercharged Coyote engine. It is a wicked animal!

It has a 7 year ceramic coating on it. 4 years of coating has passed. it has 3 years left. (can't remember but it was a coating done by a pro).

And of course---it was full of contaminates in the paint.

Did the chem and mech decontamination thing....Took forever! Note scaffolding in pictures!

Neat thing was--I could actually see the thickness of this 7 year ceramic done by a pro. I basically cleaned the surface, burnished the ceramic a bit and then applied Dr Beasley's Z1.

Wipe off was much easier this time around.

    For physical reference---I am 5' 10".

Standing at door, the bottom of window is at my eyes/nose!!!

    That is really high!

Hurt every time I needed to climb up to get to the top!

What a beast! Man, that'll take it out of you for sure! Looks really good!

Curious as to what coating was on there that your could 'see' how thick it was. Interesting...

    Scott...

The hood was new and fenders had the 7 year coating.

I looked closely at hood/fender lip and you could actually see the difference!

Hood had a thin look while the fender next to hood had a very thick look!
Guess if one went with a 7 year coating---the solids would be prolly be very, very high compared with a 1 year coating.

Nice work tom! Bet it was some work for sure getting up and down so much.

    Thanks Coles...

Sure can! This is the MetalTech. Got this from home depot!!! $174...!
Make sure you get the 3 step unit....And on the plus side, the top bar can be removed if you needed to lean over onto the roof to polish etc..

On the hood---I dropped the black step down one bar and was able to do the hood at a lower level but higher than the Gorilla platform.

At first, I got the 2 step one for $98 or something like that....Forget that one! Get the 3 step with safety bar across the top.

Works really well. Very stable, solid when wheels are locked etc.

    Oh...forget to mention,

Bought the cheap 1" foam pipe covers at home depot. You'll only need to get 2 covers.

Cut to length and slip on so the scaffold won't scratch car's paint.
