Cleaned up my daughter car
Cleaned up my daughter car
Well she finally turned 16 today...her driving instructor made it a point to come talk to me after her test to tell me what a good driver she is. Proud dad moment!
We got her a 2001 Jetta with 155k miles that had some pretty tore up paint, among other things...plastidipped wheels, limo tint and other stuff..
I’ve been wanting to try Griots correcting creams for awhile so why not experiment with her car? Using my new G15 and G8, Boss thin orange pads and the correcting cream I was blown away!!!! Zero dust, wiped off like a final polish, and only one hit was needed to get these results. Topped with Zymols Atomic Graphene shield, mainly to watch how it lasts with a more realistic owner.
When we first got it, check out those marring marks!!!!
Decon wash, mechanical and chemical using Iron X, clay mitt, with Tug wheel cleaner.
You better believe I had her helping!!!
Tape her up!!!!
Big marks needing fixing
little 50/50
ONE HIT!
All done
I will definitely be buying some more Griots polishes after this!!! I’ve been a long time user of clear cut and menzerna F400, but the dust from them was aggravating.

WOW, what a transformation. Excellent work using a simple approach. I'm adding the VW J to my list of cars to pick up.

Looks great. By one hit do you mean you only did 1 pass?

Welcome to the Griot's BOSS creams fan club! They really are among the best abrasive technologies available today.
Would that be your daughter getting into the process? If so, nice of her to help ol' Dad.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I love details on “everyday” cars. It seriously looks new now. The wheels look much better being bright silver. The paint looks wild, like it’s cherry candy dipped. Great job getting your daughter involved too.

She helped with the wash part, I did the correction while she was at school. When she came home her face was priceless.
