Re: Ford F-250 Super Duty:
Incredible work! What was the customer's expectation or want vs what you achieved with the products used?

It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Ford F-250 Super Duty:
Thanks guys!
I used 3D SPEED on the truck, and 3D ONE on the fender scuffs. There were also some light and severe scratches that I was able to at least lighten, if not remove.
I spent 12 hours on this truck (including interior and engine bay). It was exhausting. It took a long time with the porter cable DA, and that’s when I decided to upgrade the arsenal and my technique has improved since. My time management has improved, but I need to get more efficient.
As far as what the customer was expecting, most of them just want it to look better and have some protection. So I pretty much have free reign on what to do.
These are just word-of-mouth jobs, coworkers and friends, etc. One upcoming detail, the owner has requested a ceramic coating, but no particular brand.
Also, it seems pretty common for people to want to have their vehicle done, and not follow through. I tell them that they have my number and they know when to contact me. Feels kind of like being on a dating site .
I figure one day after they get their car washed, the swirls and scratches will finally get to them and they’ll call.
.

Thanks for the response and explanation. I do the same thing detailing for family but mainly on cars I buy and then sell when I want the next one. I'm always doing more than needed but I will take a tip from your playbook and order me some.
