LSN Autodetailing - 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS: LOTS OF PICS
A client from a referral (2008 Audi R8) contacted me regarding his 2016 911 Carrera GTS. This is his daily driver for work, grocery getting, running kids to school and soccer events, etc.. This 911 was by no means intended to be a garage queen. Sadly the vehicle was only taken through an automatic car-wash once in three years and it shows. The car had baked and caked on grime, tar, sap, dirt, muck, waterspots, water etchings, bird droppings, bird etchings. The paint felt like sand-paper and a baggie test was NOT even required!
For removing the bird etchings, I followed Mike Phillips proceedure here: https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...ml#post1088590
Hand removal is almost always more efficient as you can exert more pressure to a small area and thus keep your work area isolated to just the affected area.
We had the car for two days coming in at 16 hours for full paint correction, full interior (all alcantara and leather), ceramic coating on paint, wheels and plastics.
Day 1
Exterior:
The wheels were so BAD!!! I needed to do three passes
Wheels Pass #1: Griot's HD Wheel Cleaner & Wheel Woolies
Wheels Pass #2: Megs D143 & Wheel Woolies
Wheels Pass #4: McKee's HD APC 10:1 and Black MF cloth
LSP: CarPro DLUX
Paint:
Paint was SEVERELY NEGLECTED, this required a very aggressive wash:
1. Tarminator with McKee's bug and tar scrubber. Sadly most of the car required this harsh treatment.
2. Pre-Wash after tarmination with traditional sponges to get grime and gunk off
3. Engine degreased and cleaned
4. McKee's Extreme Iron Remover
5. Foam Bath with AG Foam Gun
6. 2BM Wash with Chenille Wash Mitts
7. Clay with Nanoskin Clay Mit
8. Inspection
9. Trim Taped off
Paint Correction
1. Two test spots
a.) GG BOSS Fast Correcting Cream w/BOSS white Pad
b.) M205 with BOSS Microfiber Cutting Pad (thanks to the suggestion of Wills and Dani!!!)
M205 and Boss MF won the shootout
2. M205, G15, (x6) BOSS MF cutting pads
End of Day
Day 2:
Car Pro Erasure wipe down
Gtechniq EXO on all paint
CarPro DLUX on all plastics and wheels
Interior:
Metrovac & Blow
Blue Aqua Brush with McKee's Carpet and Upholstery cleaner.
Sonax Alcantara Cleaner --->>>>> AMAZING STUFF!!!
Pinnacle Vinyl Leather Cleaner
Pinnacle Leather Conditioner
McKee's Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner w/ Waffle Towels
Exterior Glass: Pinnacle Chrystal Glass Cleaner w/ Water repellent
Exhaust Tips - cleaned w/ McKee's APC & coated w/ DLUX
Onto the pics:

Awesome job on the wheels. Good premeasures on taping off vents on rear engine.

Wow, first I have to say that the vehicle was worse than I imagined, even after reading it was tunnel washed once in three years. I sure appreciate that this car is driven, but come on! It's a 911 GTS! The wheels.....I thought they were gray or silver and covered in grime until I saw the after photos revealing black wheels. Did you spend some time on vehicle care education with the owner? What was his reaction to seeing it once completed? These are my favorite type of posts, and we've had a few posted here recently.

Nicely done!
Man, how could the owner let it get so bad?

Incredible job!
He was blown away. The grin from ear-to-ear and his elated energy was telling. As far as care education, none required. He stated up front he will not clean this himself. So we've got him on our every three month maintenance package.

Thank you for the comments, and nice to see you back Mike! Hey, it's a German car this time!
Same said as above. He just drove the car everyday and uses the heck out of it. To him, it's just a car... Sometimes I wish I could be that way... or else a certain Mustang in the garage would get driven more often, rather than have had a whole 128 miles put on it last year! :/
Thanks everyone!
