    Black CTSV...Coated!!!

A buddy of mine called me us and wanted his V detailed. At the last minute he decides that he wanted to add ceramic coating. So, when I got up, I was able to access the car fully. It has been ran through car washes for sure. A lot of scratches in the clear. Here are the before:

    So, here is my process:

I started with the wheels. I used an APC for the wheel wells and the tires. The wheels got some love from Meguiars wheel cleaner and ironx

The body was washed via Dawn to strip anything that was on the paint. Then I used ironx for the paint.
After this process, the paint was clayed using the clay mitt. Now we were ready to party! I dug out the Meguiars 105 and went to work. It took at least 3 passes on some panels, but the paint started leveling out pretty well. After the 105, I moved on the the Sonax 04-06 for polish.

The last process was to apply the McKee’s coating. This stuff goes on pretty well. I put 2 coats on for assurances. Car turned out pretty good. The owner was extremely proud!!!

Damn that is pretty good! Never worked on the CTSV but on a ATS black and the paint was pretty hard. I guess one step correction was instill to achieve the results?

Yeah. one step wouldn't have worked on this one. The paint was extremely hard!

Damn that is pretty fast for 10 hours but I guess you made it happen! Looks good, spent around 20+ hours correcting this car but I was going after small imperfection as well since the owner wanted it 90%+. The correction part was pretty tough but worth it as a detailer because black paint when corrected on caddilacs look so good!
