It's great having customers that simply abuse their cars. They always look so fantastic after a detail by a skilled hand...Well done, huge improvement ...Hope you charged her accordingly....

What polisher did you use for the large panels? What polisher do you use for the smaller areas?

Spectacular work, and really fantastic coverage of your process and results! Great job with the photos to help tell the story.
I also really appreciate you adding how much time you have into it. As a hobbyist, sometimes it's a little disheartening knowing how long I take to do things, then see how quickly some guys on here are able to operate. I know it's all case by case, but nice to see that there are times that some real hours must be invested even by a pro! Your final product is always top shelf.
Side note- all the pics worked for me.
Thank you very much. Yeah I agree with your comments about how long (or quick) some of the guys one here are able to turn cars around and I too find myself questioning my own speed. As this is really a hobby that pays for itself and not a full time business I don't have absolute efficiency being the main driver, but rather its the quality of the work that is most important to me, so I am probably too slow to go full time with this, but that's cool because I like things just the way they are.

Great photos and write up. The write up takes time. Thank you!
Thanks. Yeah putting the write ups together does take some time, but its the least I can do to 'give back' a little this wonderful community that has helped me get to where I am.

Thanks - I would have to agree with you - by the times it had been through the pre-delivery dealership 'detail' I can only imagine it was loaded with buffer trails etc.

Thank - I did. After seeing all the pics and the condition after the detail, she invested some serious money in getting herself set up with all the necessary tools and equipment to maintain the car properly herself and will not be going anywhere near the local scratch-o-matic. As always, it is simply just a lack of education on the car owners' part that invariably leads to cars in such horrific condition and now that she knows better, I am sure she will look after the car in a manner befitting it.

Ouch! That poor thing was pretty beat up huh. I do hope the owner takes every opportunity to take on board what you teach, & puts it into practice caring for Her stunning car. What a stunning colour when the sun hits it, the Audi has the perfect lines to make that blue POP in just the right places.
Superb post Lawrence, an enjoyable read, accompanied by your fantastic photography skills, awesome work mate.

Thank you so much for always taking the time to give your feedback and positive comments Aaryn - it truly is appreciated my friend! Hope things are well with you and the family!!!

Thanks. The whole car was tackled with my Flex 3401 and the mostly 5" hybrids. I used some 6.5" hybrids on the roof and bonnet but the rest of the panels were 5". As much as I long for something like the Rupes iBrid for smaller work, I've become quite proficient at using the edge of the pad on the flex to tackle small areas and so it just doesn't make sense for a weekend warrior like me to throw that sort of money at the iBrid.
