E92 M3 back in for its annual detail

Back in for its annual detail, but this time I'm installing a ceramic coating on the paint and wheels.

    Strip wash first
    Clayed
    Decon the wheels
Airbrush dlux on the wheels, honeycomb plastics, air damns/vents.

Got about 3/4 of the polishing done. Ran into an issue with essence and took some troubleshooting and help from the forum to realize I was just using too much product. I'm still a newb to essence. Glad I got that sorted as it appears coatings are piling up.

This car had a major correction last year at this time and since it's a garage queen it didn't need much in the way of correction. Did some spot fixes. Some in process pics, and before/after of the trim.

Beautiful work! Those wheels do look AMAZING!! Well done!
    Haven't considered airbrushing... timesaver?

Ohhhhhhh makes me want Quick Jacks sooner than later, but must practice patience and saving. Isn't that the Jedi way?

Airbrushing I wouldn't say is a huge time saver, but what it does is lays down the coating nice and smooth. I've found wheels just suck to get into all the tight areas and such. I barely have to knock it down. There's essentially no high spots.

You're telling me about quick jacks. If all the wheels off coating jobs I have in the wings pan out I'll buy some. Of course the day I do that they'll stop. LOL!

Wrapped up the polishing today and applied the coating. Holy s**t was this car a lot of work. I find the cars that are already in great shape are harder as you want to wow the person and there's only so much improvement you can get.

Airbrushed the lower honeycomb grill plastics. Wanted to wait on that to make sure it was completely dry down there and did the rear plastics.

Solid job brother. I need the customer cars to stop so I can get around to doing my first coating on my car.

I need a free weekend to do mine too. Looks like the first free one isn't until July. LOL! Fortunately I have one on my own car, but I want to replace it with cquartz.
