Winter Prep Detail - 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Winter is coming in North Dakota. I did a full correction on this truck a couple years ago but it was time to put some lipstick on this pig before the snow flies. Customer tried waxing last year but figured it was worth having me do it again with the proper equipment and products.

Process

Tires, Wells, Wheels
- Tires and wells cleaned with Megs D108
- Wheels cleaned with GG HD Wheel Cleaner
- Tires dressed with PERL 1:1
- Wells dressed with PERL 1:3
- Hydr02 on wheels

Exterior

- All exterior trim cleaned with OPC APC
- 2BM wash with Optimum Car Wash
- IronX and Tar X
- Clayed with NanoSkin Medium Wash Pad
- dried wax on plastic trim cleaned with McKee's Wax Remover (not sure what was applied last year but he got it all over)
- Polished with Flex 3401, LC Hybrid White Pads, Optimum Hyper Polish
- Optimum Paint Prep wipe down
- Menz PowerLock+
- Fuzion applied the next day
- Plastic trim dressed with WETS
- Exhaust Tips polished with Optimum Metal Polish

Thanks! I've had good luck with the McKee's Wax Remover. I spray it on and let it sit for a little bit and scrub with a MF towel or use a small brush to agitate. It hasn't let me down yet.
