2012 Black Honda Ridgeline
Dear Fellow Forum Members,
Here are some pics of this weekend's "stress relief" exercise aka full correction, paint protection and interior. Start to finish approx. 7.5 hours.
Wash: Griot's Brilliant Wash Soap
Wheels: Pinnacle Wheel Concentrate (3:1)
Decon: McKee's Clay (well the older version when it was DP/XMT)
Defect Removal: Griot's Correcting Cream with White BOSS pads
Polish: Griot's Correcting Cream with Yellow BOSS pads (although I used BOSS CC for defect removal as well as polishing, using the yellow pad for polishing brought up the gloss vs. white pad using the same cream)
Sealant: Griot's PolyWax
Wax: Pinnacle SSII (applied and removed by hand)
Interior: DP Total Interior Cleaner + Interior Surface Protectant
Leather: Lexol Conditioner
Carpet: DP Carpet Cleaner
Rubber: Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
Polisher: 7424XP and GG6
(sorry I didn't take pics of interior)
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend detailing,
ScottH

Very nice work.
I did one of these a couple years back. It was new so it was no where near as hammered.
2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition
2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited, 2016 Pearl White Nissan Altima SR
2019 Nissan Rogue SL

Mike indeed! Owner needed the truck back so I didn't have much choice but was careful to use my time wisely. Example: While letting the Polywax setup/cure, I used that time to do the interior. I also used the time spent on exterior to allow the leather conditioner to soak into the seats.
Thanks as always Mike.

Of all the paste waxes I currently have, or have used previously, this one is hard to beat when you consider price, shine, ease of application etc. It's not Souveran but IMHO it provides an incredible shine for the money. Among its better features, you can do an entire car with less than half an ounce! If you are unsure, try the 3oz jar first - you will easily get 6-10 applications, if not more provided we're not talking about a pickup or large SUV. On my car and my wife's (Audi A4 and VW Passat) and entire wash/wax takes less than one hour per car. This is due in part to the fact I wash them once a week, at a minimum, but goes to show that once you get your vehicle in 'maintainence' mode, waxing with a good paste like SSII makes it a pleasure and is not an all day affair (although sometimes I wish it was so the other things on my honey-due list could be postponed! Lol)

I do the same. After I apply a sealant or wax, while letting it setup I'm dressing tires and wheels or interior. Always moving and working until the job is complete.
