2003 50th Anniversary Corvette
Dear Forum Members,
Off from work this week to spend some time with the wife, but snuck in a friend's 50th anniversary Corvette today.
- McKee's 37 Power Wash
- Pinnacle Advanced Wheel Cleaner
- Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
- Griot's Correcting Cream with Griot's white and orange pads (step 1)
- McKee's 37 360 with LC white pad (step 2)
- Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner with Water Repellent
- Pinnacle Leather Cleaner/Conditioner
- BOSS G15
As you can see in the first pic, she was pretty heavily swirled/scratched up. I opted to use Griot's Correcting Cream with the white and orange Griot's pads instead of the Fast Correcting Cream - which I believe would have been too aggressive. The CC and white/orange pads worked great. FYI: Those are reflections of water spots on my sheetrock in the rear trunk lid pic (LOL) - not spots in the paint.
Before I started the work, my wife came out to the garage and I asked her which polish/crčme I should use, playing around of course since she's heard me countless time mention the products names. She said "Try It with Gri-ot" (that's how she pronounces it) and then walked out. I fell on the floor laughing. Then when I was done, she says "Gri-ot. Buy It" Of course this rhymed because she pronounced it gr-eye-ot (LOL).
Enjoy.

This is a great color to work on. I have done 2 of these cars in the last year, one that had a lot of miles on it and was hammered and another will pretty low miles that was in decent shape. Nice job but you need to get it out in the sun to take some pics to show the true beauty of this color.

KMG - 100% agree - that color comes alive in the sun - almost a gold tint to it. I was limited to 7 hours with this beauty today, so a full photo shoot had to take a back seat to the work. Got her done just in time without rushing. Wish I'd take some more before pics; the hood looked like spaghetti.

LSP was McKee's 37 360 AIO. This finished down the polish job nicely and sealed the paint. It's fairly durable, been using it for some time now - when it used tp be called XMT 360 under the Pinnacle brand.
