Mid-year...coupe....4 speed, doesn't get much better than that IMO! I should say the title is a bit confusing, never heard them referred to like that, LOL!

Too bad no pics.of the beating heart.HP ratings started creeping higher in the years following the 340 horse. Beautiful car and nice work.

Wash - Pinnacle waterless - owner did not want water on the car. Can't blame him...

Just wondering why the owner and you would not want to use water. I from south louisiana and water is plentiful and is my best friend while washing vehicals i use any where from 3-5 buckets and I also keep spraying water constantly while washing.

Good question. Reason had nothing to do with water availability or water quality, but rather because the split window seals and the windows themselves are all original, and seals are showing their age.

Posted as 340 because if I am not mistaken, that year there were three horsepower outputs rating; 275, 340 and the fuel injected 375 bhp. In hindsight, you are eight - title does look weird.

Horsepower ratings were as follows for the 327 in 1963: 250, 300, 340 were carbed, 360 was fuelie...

    Awesome car and great work!

Thank you Marc and to everyone for the compliments. Marc it took about 8-9 hours (3/4 of which was spent polishing and waxing). P.S. Marc I tried to reply to your private message re: Griot's BOSS creams, but it said "Marc08EX has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space." so I'll reply here if that's OK so I don't lose what I wrote.

Thank you for the very insightful response. You are correct, to date I've only used the CC, not the FCC. Sorry if I was not clear. I like your idea of using either FCC or CC, but not both, and then follow with Perfecting Cream after. Prior to your reply, I was always under the impression that FCC was a compound, and CC was a polish, therefore I thought it was best to follow one after the other and that Perfecting Cream was optional. But I will try out your suggestion of FCC followed by PC, or CC followed by PC so I have a 2 step process before my LSP (usually will be Polywax or Pinnacle Sig. Series II carnauba).

P.S. Have you tried Polywax? If not, I suggest you do - I think you will love it. Application is a breeze and results are impressive.

Nice work man! Love the rare split window corvettes! Crazy Chevy only made these in '63.
