    E92 M3 Paint correction

This thing is pretty BA. The aftermarket exhaust on it sounds phenomenal. Anywho it's been babied its whole life and only has 22k on it. However, still plenty of swirls and love marks.

    Typical swirls

Someone ran over some white paint. Fortunately I was able to get it all off.

Wheels were taken off I believe and even still the little mileage they had on them they were just bleeding out.

Paint really didn't have much in the way of swirls. The washing scratches and love marks you can't see in the sun were a plenty.

    Hood is finished.

Got to work on the carbon fiber roof. It looked good in the sun, but was riddled with lots of wash marks. Much like the rest of the paint.
    Before

Deep acid rain etching. Wasn't going to get those out 100% as they are pretty deep in there.

    After

    No more scratches

Carbon fiber lip spoiler polished to perfection. Oddly enough this was in the best shape of the whole car.

No before shots of the trunk lid as I'm short on time. The after shots are pretty amazing since i'm not even to the finish polish yet. This is just the cut portion.

Making sure to keep the wheels/tires protected from polish sling/dust.

32 hours in and the cutting stage has been completed.

Spot checking here to make sure all is gone. This car is now pretty close to 99% corrected( which for means ALL defects but maybe some deeper ones that would take wet sanding are out). Finish polish I'll start this afternoon. Likely 4-5 hours of that. Then sealant followed by wax and she'll go home.

Finishing polish going down. Love the way it looks over carbon fiber.

Looking good! Bulk of yesterday was focused on taking my light and going over every inch of the car to make sure everything was corrected properly. Some spots needed to be fixed or hit one more time. Was able to get the roof, trunk lid, and the front panel complete.

I used M105 and the DMC6 microfiber cutting pad for the cutting portion. I'm using a finishing polish, sealant, and wax that isn't sold here so figure that's against the rules to list.

    Excellent work!

Did you use the Flex for the lip as well? That came out great.

Looks like you have some fun toys in the garage. Is that your S2K? Love the New Indy Yellow.

Nice work! The M3 looks great.

You mentioned it has a great sounding aftermarket exhaust but no pictures of it?

I read under one of the nearly completed picture that you had 32 hours into the job and had more to go. How long did the entire job require?

I am guessing that this was a full week or longer correction? Sure looks like it was worth it too.

Would have taken me three weeks at the rate I go.
