Dusting wasn’t much of an issue, the issue I am having is that it isn’t playing nicely with the 21 on wipe offs. The 15 with the same pad wipes off clean but the 21 seems to “cook” the polish and...
So I finally got my hands on 500 and 501. Tested on different panels on hard VW paint with a variety of pads on Rupes Mini, 15 MKII and 21 MKII. The 501 was pretty average in cut and the finish...
His second video doesn’t show superior cut to HD Speed either, am beginning to doubt claims that its faster cutting than HD Cut+. Early reviews have not been too convincing of claims. Real world...
Todays test and yes its another Mercedes and another A45, this time its red. Defects/swirls are far worse than the previous two cars. Rupes 21 MKII with BnS Yellow Flat pads. Both FCC and D300...
Okay, more time behind FCC and D300, this time on a 2 year old Mercedes A45. Used a long throw as requested with the Boss orange pads. FCC seemed to have lost to D300 in cut and gloss. D300 is...
It cut well on the said paint yes but the dedicated compounds leveled better. For an AIO however it can make for a one step like the name states. I don’t see a need for dusting, hard to wipe and hazy...
On a side note also used Blackfire One Step, same paint and process, it didn’t have the cut of FCC or D300 but it wasn’t far off either. I have HD Speed and Megs D166 which I will try against each...
Will definitely give it a shot on both the Mille and 21MKII but my reasoning behind using the milder approach from a machine and pad selection was two fold:
Under Scangrip light it actually might favour the D300 in cut and finish but that’s nitpicking. Results are too close to call. Both are really top notch with zero dusting and easy wipe off.
So I finally managed to get my hands on the FCC, am really impressed with the packaging, dispenser and the cream itself as far as consistency and work time. I was working on a 5 year old Mercedes C...
