Re: Facebook users start "like"ing our pages

    Hi guys,

Another guy here needing some Facebook help :)

Started my little company earlier this year, it's going ok, but more likes is always helpful!

    Thanks,

    Daz,
    Delta Detailing,...
  2. Re: What is the finest cleaner/wax for black vehicles?

Not sure if you can get this in the USA, but Bilt Hamber Hydra Wax or Micro fine are excellent.

Re: Heavy cutting compound that doesn't dust?

I'll also give a shout to Menzerna FG400.

As long as you don't set your machine to top speed and over-polish, it dusts little and finishes really sharp.

On hard paint German cars I ususally can...

Re: Wet sanded through clear coat, fix?

I have to say bud, that was more than a few strokes to do that with 3000 grit.

From wet sanding and using a paint thickness guage whilst doing it, you get an idea how far you can go, and you've...
  5. Re: Help!!! Years of tar, road paint, other contaminates

I'm not sure how strong this Tarminator stuff is, but here I use Autosmart Tardis.

Spray it on, pressure wash it off after a few mins, a few goes of that then wash the car as normal, any tar left...

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Paintwork is protected with Bilt Hamber Finis Wax which is a truly excellent product that has excellent durability.

Lasts a good 6 months on a daily driver here in Scotland which is great...
  7. Re: What do we do when a customer brings in a coated car?

Just a learning curve for you mate.

If you had fully and completely inspected the car with the correct type of lighting you would have noticed the strange brush marks and could have shown the...
  8. Re: Advise on removing 2000 grit wet sanding marks-rotary vs. Griots & M105 vs. HD cut???

I would recommend Menzerna FG400, great product, will remove the sanding marks and leave a near mirror finish with the correct pad.
  9. Re: Confused about frequent claying after a coating.

No matter if its wax, sealant or a coating, you want to keep it as clean as possibly without claying or using strong chemicals.

A car washed frequently with a decent product will stay clean and...

Re: When to use a compound?

Most likely just a light polish to remove swirls mate, you want to touch the paint as little as possible, and remove as little as possible any time you do have to work in it.

    Consider using a...

    Re: Detailing shop Standards

No set standards in this industry.

The best thing is only use someone who's work you have seen and who has also been recommended.

Pretty much all my work these days is referrals from other...

    Re: Paint thickness questions

Have you bought a decent guage?

Cheap guages are not reliable, I only use a Defelsko guage as after using quite a few, this one is reliable.

As for thickness, no two cars are the same, even...
  14. Re: Why isn't everyone using coatings if it is "better" than sealants?

I've been using Gtechniq EXO and find it brilliant and very durable.

Although it will be interesting to see how it survives a Scottish winter with lots of salt on the roads and low/freezing...
